[SOLUTION] Technology and Public Service Case Study
Comprehensively review the implementation of ICT-mediated public services for a selected local government and conceive feasible policy implications for improvement. During the process, students are expected to strategically search essential information, to effectively analyze the collected data, and to holistically review the presence of digital services. The case study should include the following topics (but not limited to): (1) Social context: socioeconomic characteristics that ate related to the development of egovernment, (2) Institutional settings: the related agencies that are responsible for egovernment development, (3) Budget allocation and development strategies: the related information of budget allocation or development strategies depicted in the budgetary document of the selected local government, (4) Implementation: the presence/design of their official website, (5) Social media use: how social media tools are used to communicate with the public, (6) Policy implications: the related suggestions derived from the observations of prior topics. (7) Other possible topics (optional): regulations, open government applications, e-participation mediums, or any other e-government services.
