Individual Assignment 1 (Weighting 15% of the overall unit mark) Work to do: Residential Air Conditioning Design (Limit: 1,000 words)Design a duct air conditioning system for a house. The design should include: 1. Draw a simple plan of a house with at least three bedrooms to be air conditioned with aduct air conditioning system. On the house plan, show the orientation, room dimensions andceiling height. (10 marks)2. Determine the required cooling capacity for the house specifying the indoor and outdoorconditions. (40 marks)3. Select a suitable ducted air conditioning system that will have sufficient capacity for theapplication and determine its input power. You may need more than one system. (30 marks)4. On the house plan show the position of both the fan coil unit and the condensing unit. (10marks)The report format, structure, tidiness and references count for 10 marks. You are encouraged to use sketches, photos, tables, or figures to illustrate your points.
