In the RN-BSN capstone course (N. 473, Pathways), students will experience application of QSEN competencies to individuals and families and incorporate systems thinking in quality healthcare delivery. But for now, in this first RN-BSN course, the first link to quality/safety thinking to provide opportunity for students to apply concepts from module study in identifying quality & safety issues seen in real practice today. In that thinking, students are prompted to consider the critical BSN role of change agent as needed. ASSIGNMENT Students will consider a quality and safety issue and then create a basic proposal for change. Rather than a formal written paper, the assignment will be submitted as an informing PPT presentation to share with their discussion group/team. The Presentation will get a content grade (50 points max). Then, in the following week, the discussion team will provide comment on the classmate’s PPTs for important dialogue about the issue presented on the PPT. The PPT design is your choice, and you MAY use voice-over narration to enhance the presentation. ?
