1. Your letter should be addressed to the correct representative (your District representative to the US House or a u.s. senator from Texas) 2. Select a topic you care about. Present your position on the topic with your own well-supported perspective and what action you would like your representative to take to address this topic. * Write a succinct, but persuasive argument, supported by facts and evidence etc. In other words, your purpose in this letter is to provide a focused response, supported with evidence, and explain it * In conclusion, include suggested actions that you would like your representative to take to address this topic.
