[SOLUTION] Inter-professional Collaboration

Discussion: Using Evidence to Support Best Practices in Interprofessional Collaboration (IPC) Photo Credit: WavebreakmediaMicro – stock.adob Researchers and practitioners alike know the importance of using evidence-based research to solve problems. For this Discussion, you reflect on your practicum experience and the interactions you have observed or in which you have participated. You then analyze and contrast your observations or experiences while applying evidence-based research to support proposals for best practices to improve these experiences. To prepare: Review the Learning Resources for this week and consider the impact of IPC in the clinical area. Think about two incidents you have seen in your practicum experience involving IPC. One should be an example of a “positive interaction,” and one should be an instance of when “collaborators were not exemplary.”  By Day 3 Post and share two incidents that you have seen in your practicum experience involving interprofessional collaboration. Based on each of these incidents: Explain the positions of the collaborators and give context for the collaboration. What was the setting and the goal for each of the incidents? Contrast the two interactions. What was alike and what was different between the two. Then, compare the outcomes. Finally, search the Walden Library and/or the internet for a peer-reviewed article that supports best practices in IPC. In your post, provide at least one suggestion/practice as to how the poor collaboration could be improved using evidence from your research. By Day 6 Respond to at least two of your colleagues on 2 different days and provide additional suggestions/practice and a different resource than your colleagues regarding improvement in collaboration with respect to the incident with poor collaboration. Use the Learning Resources and/or the best available evidence from current literature to support your suggestions. Photo Credit: Getty Images Prior to starting the course, you should have applied for a practicum site following the guidelines for AGACNP practice. Now it is time to make it official. For this Assignment, you provide your Clinical Faculty with information about your practicum site, your preceptor, and your clinical calendar.  Note: For this Discussion, you are required to complete your initial post before you will be able to view and respond to your colleagues’ postings.
