Chapter 18 introduced us to the “urban bosses” and their role in American Politics. The author inferred that “rapid growth of the cities and the potential voting power of large immigrant communities”, gave birth to these political bosses (Brinkley,2016.Pg438). Can you please explain what were these urban bosses principle role (s) in American political sphere and society?
