A three to four page research paper on an aspect of Italian culture is required for this course.  Here’s a list of suggested topics: – History of the Italian language – History of the formation of the Italian nation – Art in Italy – Music and the Italians – History of Italian immigration to the United States – History of Italian cinema   (The topic you will work on must be approved by the professor.)   The pages have to be typed, double spaced, Times New Roman font, 12pt.  The paper can be written either in Italian or in English.    No copying and pasting is allowed.  You can assimilate the content you find during your research, but you must write it using your own words and expressions.   The evaluation of the material will be based on the accuracy and the relevance of the information.  Considerable weight will be given to organization, grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.  In other words, the paper must display college-level linguistic professionalism.   Quotes must be properly credited and a list of books or articles consulted must be provided.   The paper will be due on December 2nd, 2020.
