With the medical industry lagging in technology adoption, as nurse advocates, the focus would be to directly connect nurse operations and subsequent impact on patient care. The focus is to make the caregivers positively adopt the program for a better patient experience.
Members of a Healthcare Team That Are Most Needed to Implement a Program & Why
Implementing the Electronic health records program is expected to draw from the collaborative input of all major players in the healthcare industry; some stakeholders will be needed more for greater and better impact. These include the leadership & management team, departmental heads, nursing team, nursing informatics professionals, physicians, and other industry experts (Scott et al., 2019).
For the management team, they make decisions and finance the program designing and implementation. They will make the final decision whether the program will be adopted or not. Departmental leaders will lead the nurses and other workers into active training, piloting and actual use within the healthcare facility.
Finally, nurses will be integral members in the entire process; in addition to actively participating in implementation, they will give vital feedback regarding the program’s impact and effectiveness.
